John and Helen you are fabulous!

I made this card for John and Helen for being the best house leaders at all the Habitat builds.  It's always a great pleasure working with these two. They ate so caring, so generous, and put out such beautiful homes. All the team leaders Gabe them a gift certificate to Sweet Tomatoes so they can enjoy some dinners out. They texted me today after the dedication and said they loved the card and it was really pretty. I just started creating this card.  No sketch,  no real ideas.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah,  SU Pool party, Bazzill, American Crafts (metropolitan paper pack).
Stamps: Studio G
Accessories: corner rounder, heart punch, pop dots.

Congratulations on your new home Amalia

I made this card for the homeowner that just had her house dedication today.  This lady and her son were there every week and had many more hours than they were required. They were pretty awesome. The last three or four homes I've been a Team Leader on, I've made cards for the family when it comes time for the dedication. I had everyone sign it as always. Received a compliment from an older gentleman that is a retired guy on what we call the Tuesday Crew. He said they were really neat and wonderd how long it took to make them. I paper pieced the tree.

Here is the card for Amalia.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, SU Night of Navy, DCWV, The Paper Studio, GDC, Bazzill.
Stamps: Fiskars, Studio G (tree, new home)
Accessories: button, Baskets Twine, Bazzill Bling,  SU label punch, Corner Rounder, Pop dots.

TCCCB0618 - Hello

This card was made for the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog Wednesday challenge. Our theme this week is to distress it. Come on over and join in on the fun.

I have to admit...distressing is HARD for me. I used to use black ink on everything and somewhere along the line, I learned that I like clean and fresh designs. I did my best though.

This dog image makes me laugh though. I can just see him saying Hello. Can't you?

This weeks sponsor is: QKR Stampede and the image is: digi24297 Hello Digi - dog saying hi.

GCC0609 - Cake & Candles

It's Monday and that means a new challenge has been posted for the Greeting Card Challenge over at the Outlawz. This week, our theme is monochromatic. Come on over and join along in the fun.

When the theme was decided, and it was monochromatic, I decided that I had to use this topsy-turvy cake. I had the thought that I would use sunburst circles and stars. Monochromatic cards are tricky for me.

TCCCB0604 - Beach bum

This card was made for the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog Wednesday challenge. Our theme this week is masculine. Come on over and join in on the fun.

For those of you who know me, know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach, palm trees, the ocean, the sand, and sea life. I love to snorkel, swim, body surf, knee board, etc. Yes, I love all these things and sometimes wonder why I live in the desert. I love that, too surprisingly. But when I can, I hit the ocean, travel to beach locations and take advantage of any beach time I can get. This image is just so cute. I found this stamp at Archiver's in Des Moines, IA over the Christmas holidays. I'm sure going to miss that store. I knew it just had to be mine. I tried to make this card to mimic a beach scene. I will be sending this to my friend in California or if it works out, I'll give it to him when I go see him later in the summer. I have to get in that much needed beach time!!!!!

GCC0602 - Happy Birthday Ceylan

It's Monday and that means a new challenge has been posted for the Greeting Card Challenge over at the Outlawz. This week, our theme is Wait a Minute Mr. Postman (create a post card or card with an embossable sentiment). Come on over and join along in the fun.

I'm really early on this card which is shocking for me. I knew when I saw this image, I had to request it for Ceylan. She will be turning 40 in July, loves elephants, it had 4 candles (one to represent each decade), packages, and cake. It had to be the image for her. I made the cake chocolate since that's her favorite. I even sent her a text and let her know to not poke around on my blog until late July. : ) Then I realized, she may still see it on Pinterest. Oh well, she will like it even if she sees it before hand. All the paper layers were cut with the SU fringe scissors. I popped the top layer up so It would be level with the rest. I also popped the image and the bottom of the hat and birthday wishes pennant so they would have dimension as well.

This week, the sponsor is Squiggle Fly and the image is party animals .
