Birthday wishes - for Ceylan

This card is for Ceylan. Of course, it has an elephant on it. I didn't intend on using these papers again on a card so quickly, but they were on my desk so quick to grab. I made this card relatively quickly for me. I went in knowing that I was doing so that helped.

I saw this scrapbook page and knew I wanted to use it as my inspiration for this card.

I'm really liking the light gray papers in the background with the bright pops of color. I'll have to get more next time I'm out.

I told Ceylan on her card, I like the cards every year, but this one is definitely my favorite so far. I contemplated using a googlie eyes, but decided against it.

You leave me in stitches - thank you

I was asked by my friend Kathy, if I could make a card for her. She wanted a special card for a lady that fixed her sewing machine. The only requirements were that it be a sewing theme, thank you and bright colors. I've never really made any cards with a sewing theme but have items I can use for it.

I went back through my Pinterest pins/screenshots and found this scrapbook page (I'll have to post when the link later (I can't find the picture). I thought it would be perfect since it's quilt looking. It is funny, I sew more on paper than I do material. It really adds to the project.

Kathy and I  were both going to be at the casino so we met there so she could get the card. I had sent her a picture so she knew what it looked like. She liked it in the picture but really liked it in person.

A Cupcake and a Smile

I made this card at crafty day Sat. One card. Lol.

I don't normally copy cards so close. I saw this card and knew I had to replicate it. Let me tell you, getting the words all lined up just so, isn't as easy as you'd think.

I love this set from CTMH. I even added a sentiment inside. It fit. It says,  "Everywhere you go, take a cupcake and a smile with you."

I'll be sending this to my coworker/friend to help her artsy stay positive with her cancer treatment. She loves cupcakes.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah,  Bazzill, Colorbok
Stamps: CTMH (cupcake cuties - May 2015 stamp of the month)

Birthday wishes

I made one card only during the May crop. I hit my head on the thermostat of the fridge getting water before I left so had the worst headache for most of it. I took 4 Advil and finally started to feel better. It knocked my neck out so I knew I hit it really hard.

I used this sketch. This sketch is a great one.  This could be my new favorite color combo. I used my favorite polka dot paper.

Happy Birthday Ken

I made this for my friend for his birthday in April. I'm very late in posting it.

I used my Nifty Fifties cartridge. I love that one. It really has fun images. I made the car out of blue glitter paper to look like his Ford Fairlane convertible.

* Update: He has since framed this card.
