Happy 98th Birthday Ceylan's grandma

I made this card over the weekend for my friend's grandma who turned 98 on Saturday. They had a little party for her and she was so appreciative to see everyone. Ceylan loved this card (it was her absolute favorite of all that I've ever made- she actually loves all my cards and begs me to send her a card. I should start just randomly sending them to her. She has already put the tickler in my ear that this year she turns 40 so I'll have to come up with something great.

Grandma is so funny. She loves chocolate. In fact, the word love may not even begin to describe it. Since Valentine's Day is the day before, she seems to get a lot of half price chocolates...and trust me, it's perfect for grandma. I was helping Mark pack things up and had the pile of chocolate in my hand to go back to grandma's room. She thought I was taking her chocolates with me to my house, not taking them to her room. I assured her that I was only getting them piled up to go back to her room. : )

Ceylan's mom loved elephants so now Ceylan and grandma love elephants. I used bright and cheerful colors for her card because hitting 98 is a big accomplishment. I used the Eat Cake pack from The Paper Studio and my new Stampin' Up! fringe scissors.

Supplies: paper: Neenah (white), The Paper Studio (eat cake paper pack), SU daffodil. Stamps: Stampabilities/The Paper Studio. Accessories: corner rounder, SU circle punches, balloon punch, Cuttlebug, Walter the Elephant die, Cricut, Robotz cartridge, bakers twine, SU fringe scissors.

GCC0217 - Love you this much

Is time flying or what? It sure doesn't seem like it should already be mid-February. When I was little, my parents and the "older" people always told me that time would fly. I thought they were crazy back then, but boy...now, I sure believe them.

It's a new week at the Outlawz. Come on over and join in on the fun. This week's Greeting Card Challenge is the theme Animal Planet. You can use animals, animal print or both on your project. I came up with this idea to honor my friend Jennifer, who absolutely loves animal print. I used both animals and animal print.

This week, the sponsor is: The Paper Shelter

Supplies: papers: Neenah, The Paper Studio (all animal print from Safari pack), Bazzill (black and rust). Stamps: Studio G. Accessories: Copics, American Crafts alcohol markers, Ribbon, SU circle punch and label punch, ribbon. Ink: Memories.

I chose to work with the image of heart mouse from Bugaboo Stamps. This is a combo of copic markers and paper pieceing. This image is just so cute to me. I love the papers by Amy Tangerine in the sketches pad and also love the heart ef from Darice.

GCC0210 - I heart EWE

Hi everyone. It's a new week over at the Outlawz Challenge boards. The theme this week is "love is in the air". This week, this cute image is called Cutie 11 from Fitztown. I knew as soon as I saw this image, I had to use the play on words. The ewe was cut out and added to the piece of white card stock. I used this sketch off Pinterest. I may be using this sketch again. It's pretty versatile for cards.

Hope you come on over the Outlawz to play along.

You drive me bananas

I made this for a friend for Valentine's Day. I may make another for him instead. I'm not totally sure if I will give this to him. I finally bought the Create a Critter and Create a Critter 2 cartridges. YAY!!! I have wanted these cartridges for the longest time since the images are just so cute. I was going to stamp the bananas and paper piece them, however the stamp I had was a little too big.

GCC0203 - Thanks You're Sweet

Hello everyone! It's the big game this weekend. I always love going to someone's house or having the Superbowl get-together at my house. This year, my friend Pamela is in town so we are had the get-together at her son's place.

It's a new challenge over at the Outlaws. This week, the theme is Thanks. We have two sponsors this week: Inky Impressions and Fred She Said. I was on the Inky Impressions team. The image used is LiLi with Berries.

Hope you come on over the Outlawz to play along.

I did a lot of cutting for this one. I paperpieced her entire outfit except the white, her socks, and the bows in her hair. I also fussy-cut the image out. I used copics and American Craft alcohol markers for the rest. I have so few markers, I have only been making blonde girls. I seem to have a lot of colors that work for blonde. I will probably send this card to my grandma as a thank you for my Christmas present.

I used this card off Pinterest as my inspiration.
