GCC052415 - hello fabulous

It's Time for a new Monday challenge Over at the Outlawz. The theme this week is anything goes because it is the last Monday of the month of May.

The Sponsor is: A & T Digital Designs and the image is Mille the Snail.

I used this sketch from Pinterest. I ran out of room to add the banner at the top. The snail was paper pieced. I started to color the image but the ink was not dry and it smeared so I went ahead with my original idea of paper piecing.

2015 Grad - for Michael

My friend Elizabeth's son Michael graduated from Gilbert High School yesterday. I can't believe this kid is graduating and is this age all ready. Just seems like he should be 10 or so years old. Time has just flown by.

I asked him what his high school colors were. He replied black and gold. I said dark yellow or shiny. He replied shiny. I think it was because his neck stole was shiny dark yellow. I made yet another shaker card and used the gold foil cardstock from Dollar Tree again. This foil cardstock just does not photograph well.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, American Craft, Gold foil cardstock from Dollar Tree
Accessories: Cricut, Southwest cartridge, transparency, black/white/gold sequins, pop dots, homemade enamel dots

GCC0518 - Birthday wishes

It's Monday so that means there is a new challenge posted over at the Outlawz. Come on and join in on the fun. This week, the theme is to use red, white, and blue (must use all three colors).

The Sponsor this week is Oddball Stamps. The image is Kawaii Clouds Hearts and Stars.

Lately, I've really been into making shaker boxes. I used thicker foam under this one so the sequins shake better than the last few I've made. I figured that this image would be cute as the center of the shaker. The colors I used to color the digital image are much brighter in real life. I used this sketch from Stuck Sketches?! on Pinterest.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, Hammermill Digital cardstock, Bazzill, The Paper Studio

Stamps: Oddball Stamps - Kawaii Clouds hearts and Stars, SU wow flowers
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, SU label punch, Sizzix die, acetate, sequins, pop dots.
Inks: Copics, Memories.
Techniques: sketch, digi, shaker box

Congratulations Gary - 2015 ASU Grad

I made this card for my friend's son for his graduation from ASU. There were so many intelligent people graduating that night. I'd say, 95% had very high grade point averages.

This card was made very quickly (which is very surprising for me).

I will send it in the mail to him since I forgot it in my car and didn't take a pen that worked with me to write in it. I showed it to him since it wasn't there to hand him. We went out for pizza afterwards.

Challenges submitted to:

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, SU baroque burgundy, Bazzill (black), Gold foil cardstock from Dollar Tree.
Stamps: Fiskars
Accessories: Cricut, Southwest cartridge, sequins (gold and white in assorted sizes), pop dots, acetate
Ink: Memories
Technique: Shaker box

Congrats Kennedy - 2015 Graduation

I made this card for my cousin Kenny's daughter Kennedy for her high school graduation. I cannot believe Kennedy is graduating from high school already. My mom said she would buy the gifts and put my name on them if I made the card. I wrote in it and sent it to my mom for her to write in and provide along with the gifts. I had to use my new Create a Friend cartridge for the graduate girl. This cartridge is so fun and really has some cute images in it. I did not add the second layer of flowers on the lei. I decided it would be too small to deal with at this size. The graduate girl is cut at 2.25 inches. I thought the shaker made this really fun. Kennedy went to the same high school as I did, but they have consolidated again since I graduated so the school colors are different. Her school colors are black, purple, and white. I wanted to use black sequins in the shaker box as well, however, forgot to take them to the crop with me. This was tricky to photograph with the silver cardstock and sequins.
