She loved Janice's card last year so I used that one as my guide, but had to change it up some because of my rule of only duplicating cards at Christmas.
The funny thing about him being a drummer, I used to play drums as well. I never learned the trap though. I cut the drums out with my Cricut and used this flashy blue hologram paper in the background. He said this was the neatest card he had ever received.
This is the exception to my rule of not normally making duplicates of any one card. At Christmas, I ONLY make one card but everyone that is on my list (card receiving list of course) gets the same card. I started these elf shoe cards at least 4 years back. They were very time intensive due to all the parts. I have to do theme cards so the pictures of me and the dogs or dog can "match". I am pretty traditional when I decide to do something. We ran out of daylight. I just loved how these turned out.

I found my elf dress at Ross for a heck-of-a-price and it was perfect. All the sweaters or dresses I had found before were not perfect to me. I found an elf hat at Party City a few years back and ordered the reversible Santa/elf dog bandana as well as purchased an elf hat for Hank. He loved the bandana but did not like the hat what-so-ever. Every year, my Christmas pictures with the dog(s) is always by the water. Just this year, you can't see the water like normal.
She loves coffee, so thought this was perfect. I was brilliant (or so I thought) when I realized I could turn the label of the coffee cup over and stamp from the other side so my paper would fit.
My mom planned her own party so it would be just perfect. My Great Aunt turned 90 on Sept 2, my Great Uncle turned 80 on Aug 31, my mom turned 70 on Sept 4, and my cousin (son to my Great Aunt) turned 60 on Sept 2. The party was great. I haven't seen my aunt smile like that for many years. Mom had everything color coordinated - blue for the Sept birthdays and green for the Aug birthday. So I followed suite as well.

I had this idea but was going to cut the numbers out with my cricut and put the numbers back in the cut spots. I tried and tried but couldn't get them to line up properly. So plan 2 had to come to be. My uncle got tears in his eyes when my mom told him I made the cards myself. He thanked me and told me the cards were awesome. He didn't know I made handmade cards.

Of course I took the photo booth props.
Of course, it has an elephant on it. I didn't intend on using these papers again on a card so quickly, but they were on my desk so quick to grab. I made this card relatively quickly for me. I went in knowing that I was doing so that helped.

I saw this scrapbook page and knew I wanted to use it as my inspiration for this card.

I'm really liking the light gray papers in the background with the bright pops of color. I'll have to get more next time I'm out.

I told Ceylan on her card, I like the cards every year, but this one is definitely my favorite so far. I contemplated using a googlie eyes, but decided against it.
She wanted a special card for a lady that fixed her sewing machine. The only requirements were that it be a sewing theme, thank you and bright colors. I've never really made any cards with a sewing theme but have items I can use for it.

I went back through my Pinterest pins/screenshots and found this scrapbook page (I'll have to post when the link later (I can't find the picture). I thought it would be perfect since it's quilt looking. It is funny, I sew more on paper than I do material. It really adds to the project.

Kathy and I were both going to be at the casino so we met there so she could get the card. I had sent her a picture so she knew what it looked like. She liked it in the picture but really liked it in person.

I don't normally copy cards so close. I saw this card and knew I had to replicate it. Let me tell you, getting the words all lined up just so, isn't as easy as you'd think.

I love this set from CTMH. I even added a sentiment inside. It fit. It says, "Everywhere you go, take a cupcake and a smile with you."

I'll be sending this to my coworker/friend to help her artsy stay positive with her cancer treatment. She loves cupcakes.
I hit my head on the thermostat of the fridge getting water before I left so had the worst headache for most of it. I took 4 Advil and finally started to feel better. It knocked my neck out so I knew I hit it really hard.

I used this sketch. This sketch is a great one. This could be my new favorite color combo. I used my favorite polka dot paper.
I'm very late in posting it.

I used my Nifty Fifties cartridge. I love that one. It really has fun images. I made the car out of blue glitter paper to look like his Ford Fairlane convertible.

She loves pink and her new favorite color is sea blue. I didn't have that color so used what matched. I hope my card doesn't look like it is for a young child.

The cake is cut from my Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. That cartridge has some really cute images. I just love this one.

I used this sketch except the two side columns.

The first picture posted is with the flash, the second is without. The card is hot pink in real life, not red pink.
She's going through a lot right now so I sent an email to ask the whole team to bombard her with cards for her birthday. Her favorite color is teal so I tried to add as much in as possible. She has a dog and treats that dog like her child.
I pinned this card on Pinterest, with the intention to use it as my inspiration for Kim's card. Then Kim pinned it shortly after. I knew it had to be at that point. The Christmas tree and the birthday hat were the same shape. I didn't make my center image as large as in this card though. Kim and I do that kind of thing a lot. We will text or talk and pretty much say the same things or if we are out shopping separately, we'll often ask the other if they want this and it's the same thing. That's so weird when that happens. We joke that we're twins from other parents.

It felt strange to make a card and not have any restrictions. Just fun. The hard part, is that my craft room is near disaster stage and I kept losing my supplies. I set the paper pack down and couldn't find it for 15 minutes. That's just crazy.

I had to make the cupcake chocolate because that's my favorite and the cherry on top is a homemade acrylic dot.

Without the flash:

With the flash so you can see all the glitter in the papers and cupcake. In real life, it is more the colors in the card without the flash. It's very bright and cheerful.

I used this Sweet Sunday sketch (#179) that I found on Pinterest. Because I was making this card for a guy, I didn't want to add a bow. The colors came from me taking very few papers to my neighbor's for craft day.

For this card, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig on the main panel. I watched Lynn do some random stamping so had more of an idea on how to use it. Normally, I find it easier just to stamp, but it did help line everything up. I did have to redo this panel a second time though add I didn't space the happy Birthday out properly before. I added clear ep to the green galore happy birthday sentiment.

I made this as their card. I actually made this so fast for me. It only took me a little more than an hour to make. The colors of the wedding were celadon and silver. I even used some paper from my stash. 10 year old paper I bought when I worked at Recollections. Scrapbook walls by Chatterbox.

I used this Taylor's Expression - 6th share joy sketch for my design. This sketch worked perfectly for a wedding card. I used it exactly.

I showed Wendy the picture and she loved it. She said, "oh, they will love that, and you even used their wedding colors". Of course I did!

I took one picture with the flash and one without. I like the one with the flash the best.
Talk about crazy life lately.

I just love this stack of papers. They are so colorful and bright. I love the scrapbook layout I used as inspiration. Of course, I found it on Pinterest. I think I'll use this again because it has so much versatility. I was going to use a smaller sentiment, but forgot I had the other one. This is a little different for me since I stamped right on the patterned paper.
Of course, with my super slow crafting style, I didn't get a whole lot of cards made. I found this My Art - C mason jar stamp and die set while out shopping one day. Right then, I had the idea of filling my mason jar with googlie eyes. Adding the eyes really finished off the card. They aren't glow in the dark but are aged a little so worked perfectly. I created the jar label with the intention of adding and sticking the different sized eyes under it to look as if they are solid in the jar. I gave this card to my great friend Kim since she loves Halloween so much. She loved it.
Since it is the last Monday of the month, our theme is Anything Goes.

This week is bittersweet for me. It is my last week as a Design Team Member on the Outlawz for now. Since I changed companies, my work is becoming more and more busy and I know the next few months will be hectic. To be fair to the team, sponsors, and to me, I felt I needed to resign for now. I may be back soon at some point once work is normal again.

The Sponsor this week is: SLS lines. and the image I chose is: Zombie Crossing. Hop on over to SLS Lines and grab yourself some great images. I really enjoyed this image.

I was asking my friend "can I use this, can I use this?" He said, "no, those are all Halloween items. You have to use Zombie items - they come back from the dead". I embossed the black background with my large wood grain embossing folder but turned it sideways to give it more dimension and make it look like it is wind in the dark night sky. I inked the edges of the tree, the hand, and the grave stone to make them look aged, and I dipped the fingers on the hand, in versa mark ink, and used red embossing powder to make the blood look more dimensional. I think I'm going to send this card to my dad's wife. She just loves the Walking Dead show. The second picture is a close up of the bottom portion so you can see all the dimension and how many different things are popped up on pop dots. Be sure and click on both pictures to see the dimension and all the elements. I tried to post a few different shots so you can see different things.

The Sponsor this week is: Kenny K Designs and the image I chose is: Cupcake Celebration. The theme this week is to use patterned papers and buttons. I can't believe I found a button that is the same color as the dots on the paper. I happened to find two paper packs that have the same colors. Must have been lucky because they are the same manufacturer. I love the polka dot papers with the muted blues and greens on the rest of the card. Originally, I had intended to make the image the entire size of the panel, but I didn't really think about it not being that big until after I had it all colored. I printed it just a little larger than I normally do and should have gone 2 or so inches larger.

The Sponsor this week is: A Day For Daisies and the image I chose is Ballet Slippers. The theme this week is to use chalk. This was tricky for me. I used my chalk, but also used my aqua blender so it would stay on. It wasn't saying without the water and I didn't want to spray anything on it.

I may give this to my friend Ceylan for her birthday. She owns a dance school so this would be appropriate for her.

I used the Retro Sketches #172 sketch for this card. I may rework this a little.
