Happy Birthday Dad

I started this birthday card last week and finally finished it.

I used this Sweet Sunday sketch (#179) that I found on Pinterest. Because I was making this card for a guy,  I didn't want to add a bow. The colors came from me taking very few papers to my neighbor's for craft day.

For this card, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig on the main panel. I watched Lynn do some random stamping so had more of an idea on how to use it. Normally, I find it easier just to stamp, but it did help line everything up. I did have to redo this panel a second time though add I didn't space the happy Birthday out properly before. I added clear ep to the green galore happy birthday sentiment.

Happily ever after - Vaughn & Katy

My great friends Wendy and Vance's son got married last night. I made this as their card. I actually made this so fast for me.  It only took me a little more than an hour to make. The colors of the wedding were celadon and silver. I even used some paper from my stash. 10 year old paper I bought when I worked at Recollections. Scrapbook walls by Chatterbox.

I used this Taylor's Expression - 6th share joy sketch  for my design. This sketch worked perfectly for a wedding card. I used it exactly.

I showed Wendy the picture and she loved it. She said,  "oh,  they will love that,  and you even used their wedding colors". Of course I did!

I took one picture with the flash and one without. I like the one with the flash the best.

Hey there cupcake!

I finished this card I started at the May crop at the September crop. Talk about crazy life lately.

I just love this stack of papers. They are so colorful and bright. I love the scrapbook layout I used as inspiration. Of course, I found it on Pinterest. I think I'll use this again because it has so much versatility. I was going to use a smaller sentiment, but forgot I had the other one. This is a little different for me since I stamped right on the patterned paper.

Happy Halloween - eye of newt (googlie eyes)

I made this at the September crop. Of course, with  my super slow crafting style, I didn't get a whole lot of cards made. I found this My Art - C mason jar stamp and die set while out shopping one day. Right then, I had the idea of filling my mason jar with googlie eyes. Adding the eyes really finished off the card. They aren't glow in the dark but are aged a little so worked perfectly. I created the jar label with the intention of adding and sticking the different sized eyes under it to look as if they are solid in the jar. I gave this card to my great friend Kim since she loves Halloween so much. She loved it.
