GCC0428 - Hurry up and Relax.

It's Monday! And that means a new challenge has been posted for the Greeting Card Challenge over at the Outlawz. This week, our theme is Anything Goes because it's the last Monday of the month. Come on over and join along in the fun.

I just love this image. This cat, is so funny and he looks like he's really relaxing in that chair. I am going to give this card to my dad's wife for her retirement. I used the Deconstructing Jen sketch DS148. I love this sketch but really struggle with square cards (not sure why, I can make square scrapbook layouts) so I altered it to be an A2 size. These papers in this pack are so bright and vibrant. Just love them. I fussy cut the cat and popped it up on pop dots.

This week our sponsor is Eureka Stamps. I chose the image Lemonade Cat

TCCCB0423 - Have a Magical Day!

This card was made for the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog Wednesday challenge to use glitter. Come on over and join in on the fun.

The intention was to add a castle in behind the princess, but I couldn't get it to work and it looked too big so I went with my idea, just didn't include the castle. I used this card I saw on Pinterest as my inspiration. This card will be going to Lauryn, a little girl who was diagnosed with leukemia. You can check out the Facebook page Fight for Little Lauryn that is being written about her story and to keep the many followers up to date. Lauryn loves princesses (of course...what little girl doesn't?) but surprisingly, she loves Superman as well. I may have to try a Superman out of punches later.

This week, the sponsor is Rick St. Dennis.

This picture was taken with the flash so you could see the glitter paper, the bling, the glitter pen on her dress, crown, wings, and shoes and the sequins.

This picture was taken without the flash. The colors in the top picture are more close to the actual colors.

This week our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis. I chose the image Felicity the Faerie Queen.

Happy 50th Nathan

Cara's hubby Nathan just turned 50. I made this card for him so he can remember he's 50. lol. I used my Cricut to make the background. The one little 50 didn't quite line up, and it really makes me upset when I look at it, but I didn't have time to redo it. I was using my Expression 2 and I'm just not used to it so after fiddling for about an hour, I finally got this one cut out. Hope he is ok with the imperfection and more so just to know I was thinking about him on his big day. I hand cut around the stamp twice.

Supplies: paper: Neenah, Bazzill, SU daffodil. Stamps: Memento. Accessories: Cricut, Martha Steward Seasonal cakes cartridge, Cuttlebug, QuicKutz mustache ef.

GCC0421 - Birthday Wishes

It's Monday! And that means a new challenge has been posted for the Greeting Card Challenge over at the Outlawz. This week, our theme is Wait a Minute Mr. Postman - use an embossed sentiment. Come on over and join along in the fun.

This card...where do I begin? For now, you need to hum the theme to Giligan's Island. Once you have that song going on in your mind, instead of a 3-hour tour, it is a 6-hour card, a 6-hour card. It just took forever to get this card to come together. Not sure why, I had an idea in my head, then saw a sketch I liked, so changed direction. I ended up using this Creative Scrappers #266 sketch. Since this sketch was intended for a 12x12 scrapbook layout, I had to adjust a little and only use three circles on the side. I popped the main image and the main panel all on pop dots. I guess my card mojo was lacking or I was in slow motion. I cut the charms from my Life is a Beach cartridge. I'm so glad I found that one on sale a while back. It really has a lot of cute images. The charms had to be a little larger than originally planned to show the detail. I just had to use the flip flops charm. Those who know me, know that flip flops are a huge part of my shoe wardrobe. (I try and get a few nice pairs and a few cheap ones) each year. I try and coordinate my swimsuit and my flip flops and even my beach towels when I can. I know...I'm crazy.

This week our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis. I chose the image Bitsy at the Beach

GCC0414 - Hop on Over

It's Monday and that means a new challenge has been posted for the Greeting Card Challenge over at the Outlawz. This week, our theme is Easter. Every time I see this card, all I can think is "bawk bawk it's the Easter bunny" commercial from Cadbury eggs. I was going to use that as my sentiment, but I'm not the greatest at printing sentiments off the computer. I colored then fussy cut the image out and popped it up on the scallop oval. I kind of used sketch #74 from Paper Take Weekly Sketches. Come on over and join in on the fun.

Our sponsors this week are: NiceCrane and Rick St. Dennis.

GCC0407 - LOL. You are laugh out loud funny

It's another new week over at the Outlawz Challenge board. This week our theme is U-G-L-Y. You don't have an alibi. Use ugly papers and make them pretty. I used to be a cheerleader so this thought popped in my mind for the theme. This was much more difficult than I thought it would be. Initially, I thought this will be so easy. We all have papers we do not think are pretty or the patterns are not what we want on our projects. Coming up with papers that somewhat went with the image, was tough at first. Then, when I saw this square paper, it really made the card come together easy from that point. I used four patterns within the Polaroid frame - 2 of which are ugly to me and two aren't so bad. The green with polka dots and the stripe are ok and the other two are my ulgy papers. I used my PTI ric rak die to cut strips and then piece them together for the background. The Polaroid frame is up on pop dots for dimension and so is the purple card base. The frog and the LOL were fussy cut.

Come on over to the Outlawz and play along.
