It's the last Monday of the month so there is an Anything Goes challenge over at the Outlawz. This week however, there is a twist. Make your anything goes card into a Happy New Years card.
Is anyone else wondering where in the world 2014 has gone? I sure am. I was so busy during the months of August, September, and October at work that I think it should only be October now. Guess I won't get that time back. Hopefully, 2015 will be prosperous for all.
The Sponsor this week is Aurora Wings and the image is Butterfly Mask. I originally wanted this image instead (Butterfly Mask with Ribbons). I only colored the eyes in. I did add Stickles in gold and silver to give it more shine. I also lightly went over the butterfly wings with Spica at-you glitter pen.
I used this card from Jen Shultz as my sketch to follow.
I used foil cardstock and really like it, although, it is very tricky to photograph. It is reflective so you can see your outline and also could see my phone. I finally put on a white top and had the phone hidden in the middle where the image is so you couldn't see my reflection. I stamped and colored the champagne and ice bucket. I used my new Cricut cartridge called Photo Booth Props. This cartridge is going to be so fun to use for photo booths. I can't wait to start making them.

GCC1222 - Believe in Birthday Miracles Cara
It's Monday and that means there is a new challenge over at the Outlawz.
This week, the sponsor is: Digital Delights and the image is Angel Donita. I knew as soon as I saw this image, I would be using it for Cara's birthday. She loves red and angels so it was perfect.
The theme this week is to use non traditional Christmas colors. While red is a standard Christmas color, pairing it with black isn't. I made the card with Cara in mind to include both red and an angel. She liked it.
I used the Deconstructing Jen sketch #181
Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, Hammermill digital cardstock, Bazzill, Recollections, The Paper Studio, DCWV.
Stamps: Digital Delights - Angel Donita, Studio G, SO Everyday Flexible Phrases.
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Sizzix dies, Stickles, bling, pop dots.
Inks: Copics, Memories.

With Sympathy - for Kathy
I made this card for a family friend from my home town. John Nevins passed away in November and they had his celebration of life on Saturday. It was beautiful and very touching. It was held at the Legion hall.
I made this card for Kathy. I used patriotic items instead of adding something for the Army. I wasn't sure what service he was part of and didn't have it confirmed until after I was already at the service.
Supplies :
Papers : Neenah, Recollections, The Paper Studio, SU Night of Navy, Imagine sense
Stamps: Studio G
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug ef, Sizzix dies, K &Co stickers, pop dots.

GCC1215 - Happy Birthday Elf
It's Monday, so that means a new challenge has been posted over at the Outlawz. This week the theme this week is to use sheet music or some sort of music.
The Sponsor this week is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles and I used the neat music paper background from a set called Familiar Refrain. Lisa has a wonderful selection and also has a challenge this week over on her blog. It is an inspiration challenge so hop on over and enter. Since I chose a background image, I could use any other focal image I wanted. I used one of my new stamps I purchased when I was at a Copic Boot Camp.
I used a birthday sentiment because I have two December birthdays and I do not have a Christmasy (yes...I'm making up words again) sentiment small enough that is in a straight line. I'm not sure which person will get this. I intended to send it to my grandma for her 91st Dec 29th birthday, but it's 1/2 inch thick. I used pop dots on the main panel, the package, and thicker ones to pop up the elf. Hmmm. I may have to change my mind and send her another one and hand deliver this to my crafty friend instead of using my next week's image I chose with her in mind. I guess I'll have to see. Update: Sending this one to my grandma after all. I gave the GCC1222 Angel card to Cara. I turned it inside out so hopefully it won't be as thick that way and hopefully grandma turns it the right way when she opens it. I'm sure she will.
Challenges I submitted this card to:
Through the Craft Room Door - TTCRD Anything Goes - Dec 9-15

Accessories: Offray ribbon, homemade enamel dots, pop dots.
Inks: Copics, Memories.

GCC1208 - Happy Birthday Jennifer
It's Monday, so that means a new challenge has been posted over at the Outlawz. This week was my week to determine the theme and post the challenge. I chose one of my favorites...designer paper and bling. I kept it simple at only 3 patterns for those that do not tend to mix patterns a whole bunch. And bling, that's a gimme.
The Sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine and the image is Sugar "Sugi" Plum Sweet Urchin. Isn't she sooooo cute? I used this sketch from Pinterest. This particular sketch is pretty accommodating and can be used with a lot of different patterns. The main panel, the red circle with bling and the image are all on pop dots. I guess I better figure out a way to drop this one off instead of sending it when the time comes. I used clear bling behind the image.
I'm making this card now, but it will be sent to my friend Jennifer in January for her birthday. She is the friend that loves bling and loves animal print so when I saw the fur on the coat, I knew it had to be for Jen. Of course, the little Sugi is blonde and blue eyes. Just like Jen.

Stamps: The Stamping Boutique - Happy Birthday Car, Tim Holtz.
